Restaurant of the Month

Punch Lane, Melbourne

The year it all began was 1995, and since that time Punch Lane has established itself as uniquely Melbourne and prides itself on service excellence.

The historic lane of Little Bourke Street that gives the Restaurant its name was the centre of Melbourne's red light district in the late 1800's. The building was Melbourne's original police station and over the years has housed the vise squad and ASIO. Today we are part of the Melbourne's inner city living, food culture and theater district.

Our famous red chairs have become a Punch Lane trademark; these chairs once were pride of place at the Southern Cross Hotel's Club Grill Room dating back to 1962.

With 4 years in the making 2004 has seen the birth of our seriously impressive outdoor area designed by Jackson Clements Burrows Architects.

If you are after a personable stylish and adaptable place 'CLUB' Punch Lane is for you
